Training curriculum for youth

First of all, SUSE will develop a training curriculum for youngsters between 15 and 25 years old to learn more about the opportunities of social entrepreneurship. It will present important basic theory about the importance of social entrepreneurship and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), how to become a social entrepreneur, business model canvas, digital marketing skills and good practices of local social entrepreneurs. It will also encompass practical elements, like field trips to social companies, interviews with local entrepreneurs, job shadowing and other practical assignments including the local community. The training curriculum will also include a handbook which will be completed by youngsters and result in a social business idea and an instruction guide for youth workers on how to support youngsters in this learning process about social entrepreneurship.

Digital Coaching Manual for Youth Workers​

SUSE will also develop a Digital Coaching Manual for youth workers. We are encouraging youth workers to enhance their digital skills and educate them about different methodologies on how to apply digital elements in coaching, with a specific focus on teaching social entrepreneurship as a tool to involve youth in local communities and improve employability. Topics that you might find in the Digital Coaching Manual are how to use social media in nonformal teaching, how to engage youngsters at distance, innovative ways of deploying social media in engaging youth to social entrepreneurship, tips and tricks regarding digital coaching, use of digital games in youth work etc.

Handbook ‘How to set up a (digital) competition

And then the most fun element of the project is the competition! SUSE will set up regional competitions for youngsters with social business ideas. To streamline the organisation of these competitions, we will develop a handbook on how to set up the (digital) competition. It will guide the organisation through each step and will be enriched by tips and tricks of the organisation of our own (digital) competitions.
